This stunning Ranitomeya is one of our favourites.  This brightly coloured species thrives when kept as small groups in a modest sized vivarium.  Several pairs will frequently breed communally in a bromeliad axil, film canister or other suitable location.  Its distribution is restricted to lowland forest north of the Amazon River.  Many phenotypes of this species exist in the wild.
